Job Responsibilities

Under the co-direction of the IPH Associate Directors, the Continuous Quality Improvement (CQI) Project Training Assistant will coordinate the logistics of in-person and web trainings, including the (1) maintenance of course and program supplies, (2) coordination with regional contractors to secure live training sites, (3) coordination with faculty and staff to schedule training dates and arrange travel, (4) production and moderation of live trainings (requiring travel to all trainings), (5) coordination of SDSURF and contract documentation and reimbursements, (6) assistance in the development of evaluative reports, (7) management of training and tracking databases, and (8) coordination of CME documentation and submission. The position will also assist staff in the development and modification of training content and formatting, including initial research, proofing/editing, and obtaining permissions for use of existing content. In addition, this position will serve as the point-of-contact and coordinator for collaboration with Expert Workgroups and focus groups. The incumbent will also be the liaison for the adaptation of DNPQA relational database into RCMIS, facilitating all related meetings and coordinating input from EWC, regional contractors, and IPH.

Minimum Qualifications

High School diploma or equivalent and six years of progressively responsible experience in an office or administrative environment.

Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

General office skills including the ability to effectively use a computer for word processing and spreadsheet tasks, ability to operate communication equipment, fax machines, copy machines, other office equipment, and to learn office technology systems Sound foundation in English grammar, spelling, and punctuation Fundamental bookkeeping skills Excellent organizational skills Ability to identify and effectively solve standard problems and refer more complex problems to appropriate staff Ability to concurrently work on a variety of tasks Ability to establish timelines and meet deadlines Advanced experience with Microsoft Word, Outlook, Excel, and PowerPoint Ability to understand standard office procedures Ability to work 4-6 Saturdays per year Ability to travel overnight 4-6 times per year Ability to lift 40 pounds Interact effectively with co-workers Understand and follow posted work rules and procedures Ability to relate well to others within the IPH environment Highly motivated self-starter, with a high energy level and strong interpersonal skills Ability to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing Well organized, ability to meet deadlines, detail oriented; possess good judgment and common sense Demonstrate a high level of cross-cultural sensitivity

Preferred Experience/Special Skills

Four years' experience in a programmatic support position with increasing responsibility. Two years of experience proofing and editing professional documents. Familiarity with SDSURF policies, procedures, forms, etc. Familiarity with Every Woman Counts program Familiarity with basics of breast and cervical cancer Ability to work independently and initiate tasks Understanding of relational databases

Working Conditions

Ability to travel throughout the State, including air travel, and occasionally work irregular hours including Saturday and Sunday.
