Northeast Parent & Child Society, one of New York State’s most innovative human service agencies, invites applications for a Temporary Weatherization Crew Member in Schenectady, NY.

The Weatherization Crew Member position will assist the Crew Chief in the implementation and provision of Home Energy Connection (HEC) home weatherization services; will work to provide the actual direct service including the installation of materials, repairs to stop cold air infiltration, and other measures. Incumbent shall be responsible for the full range of home weatherization service activities as directed by his/her supervisor.

Skills/Qualifications: High School Diploma or GED with six months experience in carpentry and/or general maintenance with experience in construction, weatherization experience preferred. Ability to work in extreme conditions such as confined spaces, heights, heat and dust. Ability to lift 50 pounds; WHALCI preferred, Valid NYS Driver’s License required.

Work Schedule: Monday – Friday 8:00am – 4:30pm.
