The CSPD Technician is responsible for decontaminating, assembling, sterilizing, documenting processes, and delivering a wide variety of surgical instrumentation and patient care equipment to the Perioperative team. CSPD personnel ensure the highest quality standards are met and are in accordance with departmental procedures and established industry standards. The Scottsdale Healthcare CSPD Technician assumes responsibility and accountability for incorporating the vision, values, mission and critical goals of the organization into their job performance. Certification as CSPD Technician required within 12 months of position attainment.
Certification in CRCST or CSPDT is required within 12 months of hire.
High School Diploma or GED
Completion of a sterile processing training program, or 6 months of sterile processing experience or related materials management experience, or certification as either CRCST or CSPDT.
Basic computer knowledge and use; previous or current experience in Sterile Processing functions, or graduation from CSPD training program.
Experience and knowledge of Sterile Processing Techniques and/or Material Management Principals;
Experience and knowledge of cleaning/assembly of instrumentation and supply chain processes
