GENERAL SUMMARY OF DUTIES : Process monetary transactions with customers and inter-department personnel. MUST BE 21 YEARS OF AGE OR OLDER.
EXAMPLES OF DUTIES/ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: (Includes, but is not limited to the following)
Greet each Guest and welcome them to the Silver Legacy;
Repeat transaction back to Guest;
When cashing a check, look in the computer for special dates, i.e. birthdays, anniversaries, etc and offer drink coupons;
Cash all types of checks for customers within established guidelines;
Redeem customer casino chips for cash and/or coin;
Redeem all acceptable types of foreign currencies;
Provide and assist customers with check cashing/credit applications;
Secure and document all transactions made with company assets;
Process credit card advances;
Balance assigned bankroll at end of shift;
Complete MTL and CTR logs accurately;
Issue safety deposit boxes in the absence of Main Banker/Supervisor;
Maintain regular, predictable attendance;
Perform other job related duties as assigned.
PERFORMANCE REQUIREMENTS: (Knowledge, Skills and Abilities) Ability to understand and comply with state, federal, company and departmental rules and regulations. Good communication skills. Ability to perform basic math calculations. Ability to read, write and communicate verbally in English. Ability to type 25 wpm and 10 key by touch. Ability to use an adding machine, jet sort, cash advance machine and any other computers or equipment necessary to perform your job efficiently. Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with other department personnel, co-workers, management and customers.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
Education : High school education or equivalent preferred.
Experience : Cash, coin, and chip handling experience a plus.
Certificate/License : Gaming Registration.
TYPICAL WORKING CONDITIONS : Work is performed in areas that may be unusually hot, cold, noisy, smoky, dimly lit or illuminated. Individuals will work with time restraints and in small spaces. Work requires use of mechanical devices and computer equipment. Continuous contact with customers and staff.
TYPICAL PHYSICAL/MENTAL DEMANDS : (May be required in order to perform the essential functions of the position). Position requires Team Member to enter & exit from the Team Member entrance which entails 4 flights of stairs (40 steps). Requires seldom walking , reaching, bending and lifting up to 30 lbs.; occasional transporting, pushing, pulling and maneuvering of items weighing up to 40 lbs.; frequent standing, light grasping and finger dexterity with dominant hand, near visual acuity, field of vision, and color vision. Requires the ability to distinguish letters, numbers, and symbols, perform simple tasks, coordinate information, perform clerical functions, and follow instructions. Requires eye/hand coordination and manual dexterity. Requires effective written and verbal communication to include simple reading, writing and math skills. Requires reliability and accountability.
