Hawker Pacific Aerospace, Sun Valley, CA is seeking a Calibration Technician to support its Quality Assurance Department. Selected applicant will perform:

Job Scope
Performs detailed and complex inspections of Parts Manufacture Approvals (PMA). Calibrates tools: tests, calibrates, adjusts, repairs, and maintains electromechanical, mechanical, optical, pneumatic, and pressure type measuring to make sure the tool/equipment conforms to set standards. Cleans and calibrates test equipment. Monitors and verifies quality in accordance with statistical process or other control procedures. When needed, performs final inspection of components, secures the necessary documentation for traceability, and issues non-conformity reports and requests for corrective actions.

Job Duties
Calibrate tools: test, calibrate, adjust, repair, and maintain electromechanical, mechanical, optical, pneumatic, and pressure type measuring to make sure the tools/equipment conform to set standards. Perform final inspection of components, secure the necessary documentation for traceability, and issue non-conformity reports and requests for corrective actions. Maintain accurate records of all tests performed in accordance with internal procedures. Comply with all Environmental Health and Safety requirements. Develop internal calibration procedures and recommend associated standards. Overtime may be required per business needs. Other duties as assigned.

Skills
Able to read and understand blueprints. Able to read and understand technical documents: overhaul manuals, detailed customer and regulatory specifications, quality manuals, process requirements, and technical work instructions. Must have mechanical aptitude and be able to perform product acceptance inspections per all applicable requirements. Able to instruct and provide work direction, if required. Has understanding of drawings and work instructions. Able to perform well under fast paced work environment. Able to interact, clearly communicate, and work cooperatively in a team environment. Proficient in commercial software application including MS Word and MS Excel.

Qualifications
Qualified applicant must have good verbal and written communication skills; must read, write, and speak English at a 12th grade level. Education Requirements: High School Diploma or equivalent. Certified Calibration Technician (CCT). A & P License preferred. Minimum of three (3) years experience in the aviation industry. Calibration experience in Aerospace manufacturing operations; experience in physical/dimensional disciplines preferred.

This position may require use of information which is subject to the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR) or the Export Administration Regulations (EAR), or both. U.S. Person preferred. Under U.S. law, a U.S. Person is: a U.S. Citizen, a U.S. Permanent Resident (i.e. 'Green Card status'), a Political Asylee or Refugee. Foreign Nationals applying for this position are subject to U.S. export licensing requirements in order to lawfully have access to technical data, including approval(s) from the U.S. Department of State, Directorate of Defense Trade Controls or the U.S. Department of Commerce, Bureau of Industry and Security. Prior written authorization from the U.S. Department of State-DDTC or the U.S. Department of Commerce-BIS, or both, must be granted, or the inapplicability of such requirements must be certified by the Empowered Official, BEFORE the applicant can work at Hawker Pacific Aerospace.
