Missouri Higher Education Loan Authority (MOHELA') is currently searching for professional, confident and courteous individuals to join our Call Center Team to counsel student loan borrowers and parents to successfully manage and repay their student loan debt. This is through inbound and outbound collection calls. The Call Center Agents will be making outgoing calls to delinquent borrowers in order to receive payments and counsel them on their federal student loan debt. Agents are also responsible for researching and analyzing student loan accounts in response to verbal inquiries. They recommend appropriate courses of action in order to keep student loan accounts current with MOHELA. Candidates must be available to work 11am to 8pm Monday through Thursday, and 8am to 5pm on Fridays. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions. Comprehensive training (compensated at $15.00 an hour) will be approximately 7 to 8 weeks long from 8am-5pm Monday through Fridays. Hired candidates must be able to attend training every day from September 24th to November 9th
Required for all candidates: Must have high school diploma or general education degree (GED)Preferred not required: 2 years or more of call center experience (preferably high call volume)and/orCollection experience on delinquent accounts (auto-dialer experience a plus)and/orCustomer Service Experience – office experience preferred Some college experience with the above 'Preferred not required' experience above is a plus. ORMust have College Degree Must Have: Availability to work 11am to 8pm Monday through Thursday, and 8am to 5pm on Fridays Ability to understand and apply complex regulations that continue to change over time Must be a quick learner with excellent research skills Must be able resolve difficult customers Must be able to thrive in a highly structured work environment responding to high call volumes.
