ESSENTIAL DUTIES:
  • Answer high volume of inbound customer support calls and provide appropriate response, guidance and/or solutions in a timely manner to:
    • Members/Patients – Co-Pay inquiries, Formulary inquiries, Eligibility, Prior Authorizations
    • Pharmacist – Processing information, Prior Authorizations, Overrides
    • Physicians – Prior Authorizations and Overrides
  • Document pertinent information related to customer calls for call tracking, follow up and quality assurance
  • Perform outbound calls as required and/or needed
  • Provide production support and assistance as needed to onsite mail service pharmacy
    • Filling
    • Shipping
    • Data Entry
    • Medication repackaging
  • Perform other various duties and tasks as assigned by supervisor(s)

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:
  • High School diploma or equivalent
  • Pharmacy technician experience in a retail pharmacy, pharmacy benefit management or mail order environment is preferred
  • Ability to obtain Certified Pharmacy Technician certification

DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
  • Pharmaceutical Technician Training and/or background in Pharmacy
  • Previous customer service experience in a Pharmacy Benefit Management or health care environment
  • Previous customer service experience
Pharmacy Technician certification
