MIT Federal Credit Union (MITFCU), is seeking a Call Center Representative to deliver outstanding member service, addressing all member issues and inquiries and offering products and services that enhance member’s financial relationship.

Responsibilities include answering telephone, voice-, and e-mail inquiries in accordance with departmental standards; opening new memberships and opening/closing/adding products and services to existing accounts; processing account transfers, payments, and stop payments; processing online membership, account, and consumer loan applications; providing balance information and statement copies; increasing/decreasing debit credit lines; providing rate information; updating addresses in multiple systems; providing general account maintenance; reconciling and scanning checks; daily balance and reconciliation of payments/deposits; troubleshooting, researching, and solving member issues; referring members for additional services and support; assisting with annual dormant account program; updating member account information; directing requests for technical support; completing required BSA/AML training; and demonstrating working knowledge of BSA/AML policies and procedures.

Required job requirements include: a high school diploma or its equivalent; a minimum of one year of experience in a credit union, bank, or financial industry setting or in a call center or other telephone/remote customer service function; ability to manage difficult or emotional interactions in a professional and courteous manner; strong customer service, problem solving, active listening, telephone, and written and verbal communication skills; excellent organizational and multitasking skills; attention to detail; flexibility; comfort working in a fast-paced environment; ability to perform clerical and statistical work with speed and accuracy; working knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, and other software programs; and ability to recognize and recommend process improvements. Experience in a sales environment a plus. Associate’s degree preferred. Job #10278-4.
