The right candidate will work in a dynamic fast paced environment with responsibility for processing a weekly payroll for 300+ employees. The position requires strong organizational along with verbal and written communication skills. Microsoft Office and intermediate to advanced excel skills are also required. Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned to meet business needs. • Compile payroll data such as garnishments, vacation time, insurance and 401(k) deductions. • Poll electronic time clocks (E-time software) and review the downloaded information for completeness and accuracy. • Contact various department supervisors for any missed times. • Process weekly transfer of payroll data to payroll processing company. • Pull many internal management reports from reporting software. Qualification/requirement: • Strong knowledge of reporting system is essential • Solid understanding of payroll and payroll tax laws is also a must. • Proficiency in Word and Excel. • Clear written and verbal communications. • Organize and write procedures in a logical/methodical manner. • Good time management skills. • Excellent attention to detail. • Work well in a team environment. • Able to maintain confidential information. Experience/Training? • Associate's degree (A.A) or equivalent from two-year college or technical school or one or more years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
