Counselors needed to serve as constructive adult mentors for a group of middle school students in the Academic Leadership Academy (5 students to each counselor). Duties will include: -Direct responsibility and supervision of the five assigned students -Help each student to develop and educational project that will be presented to the parents and other participants on the last day of camp. -Conduct daily group meetings with the primary purpose of working on leadership skills. -Ensure that each student finds and develops a viable leadership project for the final presentations. -Teach the students how to utilize and apply the various tools and technology available on campus for finding information for projects and school work. -Serve as an advisor to teach student in the development and composition of their daily journal writing project. -Other duties as needed/assigned.

This is a five day camp that occurs over a three week period where middle school students (minority males) will be brought to campus to enhance thier leadership skills and develop study/research stategies, as well as learning on how to navigate the college transition. The camp dates will be April 1-6, April 13th & 20th, & June 7th
