As part of the Human Resources team, you’ll handle hiring decisions, talent management, organisational effectiveness and leadership development – helping to design and deliver programmes and services to attract, develop and retain top talent. By joining the Human Resources team at American Express, you’ll be responsible for managing the company’s most valuable assets – its people.

Our well-established Human Resources Summer Internship Programme will provide high-performing MBA students with the opportunity to gain hands-on experience in projects that have strategic or operational significance to the company. Interns will meet the business and HR leaders from all levels and have a chance to learn about the culture and values of the organisation as well as network across regions and functions.

What would you do as a Human Resources MBA Summer Intern at American Express?

* Lead on a set project that will forward business goals and the people agenda

* Present your findings and solutions to the senior leadership

The Programme commences in June 2014 for 10 weeks.

It consists of the following components:

* Introduction to American Express

* Meaningful projects

* Speaker sessions with senior management

* Social and networking events

* Group assignment

* Buddy programme

* Mid-term and final performance reviews

- Strong customer focus and project management skills

* Strong communication and presentation skills

* Team player and individual contributor

* Demonstrated strategic thought leadership to drive results
