This position provides oversight for major campus programming and activities and serves as the primary advisor to the Campus Activities Board; is responsible for coordinating major events such as, Alcohol Awareness Through the Arts, annual lecture series, coffee houses, Family Weekend, fine arts series, Homecoming, intramural sports, Spring Fling, Welcome Back Week and wellness programing; and serves as the liaison for campus clubs and organizations.
M.S. or M.A. in higher education, student personnel, educational leadership, administration, wellness or related field
Outstanding organizational skills
Outstanding verbal and written communication skills
Ability and willingness to work collaboratively and strategically with multiple units across campus
Ability and willingness to work evening and weekend hours
Ability and willingness to attend out of town student and professional conferences
An understanding of student development theory and assessment, including risk management practices and procedures PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
Experience in higher education COMPENSATION: $40,000 - $45,000 based on qualifications and experience. May be eligible for salary increase after 6 months.
