This is a part-time position, up to 40 hours/week for 37 weeks/yr. Work is available only when school is in session: 15 weeks in the fall semester, 15 weeks in the spring semester, and 7 weeks in the summer semester.

Pay Rate: 14.00/ hour

Perform Campus Host job duties as assigned for coverage and break relief purposes.

Strategically supports the patrol team as directed.

Practice and promote excellent customer service concepts and accepted behaviors

Understand and apply radio and video systems operations and performance as it relates to policies and procedures at AAU

Maintain the cleanliness of all the patrol vehicles

Responsible for fueling of all patrol and cruiser vehicles.

Understand and adhere to Campus Host policies and procedures.

Demonstrate professional report writing skills

Present a professional, clean, and pressed uniform at all times

Practice safe driving skills based on Federal & State regulations and AAU policies

Thoroughly understand and apply AAU Safety and Security strategies

Fully commit to Crime Prevention practices at all AAU locations and other designated locations

Understand building key control management

Report building maintenance issues as dictated by policy

Investigate multiple issues at one time and provide sound solutions to events occurring on campus

Drive positive working relationships with all departments on campus

Leverage synergies with local Police/Fire and EMS agencies

Understand Emergency Operation Procedures and execute those plans when needed

Navigate city streets efficiently and safely

Maintain an “ On Time “ arrival and departure schedule

Strong knowledge of AAU collateral

Strong knowledge of each AAU department, locations (both Academic and Residential Hall buildings)

Direct people to the appropriate person or department in an accurate and timely manner

Strong knowledge of the campus by assisting students with questions they may have about Academy
procedures, i.e. bus schedules, building locations from class schedules

Assist with special event coverage

Other duties as assigned by the Director of Campus Security and Patrol Supervisor

Valid Class C license required

Clean DMV record required

1-3 Customer service experience

Professional Demeanor a must

Basic computer knowledge in Microsoft Word and Excel

Shift: Tuesday-Saturday, 6:00pm-2:30am
