The Time Warner Cable Corporate office currently seeks a Capital Analyst for our Budget & Business Operations Department. Below please find a brief description of the essential duties and responsibilities required to function successfully in this position.
Essential Job Functions:
Reporting to the Manager of Capital Budget Operations, the Capital Analyst manages the capital of a specific functional area, or areas, within the Technology & Network Operations department. The Capital Analyst is expected to work closely with the department's functional leads to understand the capital needs of the group. Additional job functions include:
Oversight of project authorization justification, coding, submission, and approval.
Facilitation and support of annual capital budget creation and submission.
Close coordination with functional leads in preparation of monthly capital outlooks.
Serve as subject matter expert on capital projects and serve as the primary point of contact to the Finance department for all matters related to a respective functional area.
Prepare spending analysis, reconciliations, financial metrics, and performance data where required.
Perform special accounting/financial projects as needed.
Requires strong analytical, written and verbal communication skills. Strong financial and accounting knowledge, including: processes, policies, and terminology. In-depth Microsoft Excel and PeopleSoft (or similar ERP system) knowledge required. Advanced Excel modeling and macro skills preferred. General database (MS Access) software and Microsoft SharePoint knowledge strongly desired. Ability to work in a high-volume multi-tasked environment while providing a high-level of customer service.
s degree or higher; or equivalent training, education and experience with positive attitude dedicated toward achieving results for the "team", as well as providing quality service and accuracy. Three to five years finance/accounting experience desirable.
Education and Experience:
Bachelor's degree (B. A.) from four-year college or university; or equivalent training, education and experience.
No Supervisory responsibilities with this position.
