Promotes, cultivates, and develops the Major Gifts/Capital Campaign Program.Heads up Campaign. Finds and follows through on donor leads as outlined by Capital Campaign. Serves as liaison between the campaign process and the Development Director. Submits copies of all correspondence to the Development Director on a current basis. Serves as the spokesperson for The Salvation Army in raising Campaign funds. Becomes thoroughly familiar with Salvation Army policies, procedures and terminology.

Recruits leaders for task force board and/or campaign steering committee. Works with vendors on donor contacts. Follows-up contacts after vendor’s contact has been completed; makes contacts with potential donors and follow-up on pledges to the capital campaign. Assumes responsibilities for monitoring the capital campaign. Assists with the completion of the campaign. Contacts donors. Wraps up campaign and reports. Implements program and procedures for collection of pledges. Arranges for records to be complete and reconciled. Cultivates major gifts for Camp Keystone needs and operations.

Consults with the Development Director on a regular basis for information with respect to divisional policies, needs, programs and goals which may effect areas of responsibility and implement same by appropriate action. Notifies the Divisional Development Director when conflict with existing policy appears likely or where policy changes seem merited. Develops and maintains efficient office procedures. Maintains a working knowledge of Salvation Army Orders and Regulations, official policy directives and service programs relating to the area of work described.

Required Experience:
Two years experience performing public relations and fundraising work OR any equivalent combination of training and experience which provides the required knowledge, skills and abilities.

LICENSES AND CERTIFICATIONS:
Valid State Driver’s License

Required Education:
Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university in a related field.
