We are currently hiring for a Capture Manager to work at our Headquarters Springfield, VA.
The Capture Manager will lead the creation, management and distribution of targeted in-depth information and analysis of assigned opportunities. The Capture Manager will work with a team comprised of senior analysts, consultants, and sales staff to identify, qualify, research, build, and brief detailed analyses of assigned procurements.
Responsibilities will include:
Manage a Capture Team made up of sales, analysts, technical writers, and external partners and consultants.
Identify, qualify, research, build, and provide detailed analyses of assigned major government procurements. Identify and conduct mostly primary as well as some secondary research, (including direct contact with a wide range of Federal Government officials, as well as Consultants/SMEs, to form the basis of product content reports.
Organize, compose and brief the capture plan. Produce the highest quality work on time and in budget to meet company’s needs.
Produce the highest level of company satisfaction. Must be familiar with analytical tools, standards, practices, guiding legislation for procurement integrity, truth in negotiations, etc., and must ensure that all employees reporting to them adhere to these standards.
Qualifications:
5 years’ experience as a Director, Business Development; Capture Manager; or executive responsibility over those positions, for major IT and/or professional-services projects for the U.S. Federal Government. DOD and Civil Agencies experience preferred.
Knowledge of Public Sector procurement or business development required. Capture management, competitive intelligence, business development, and/or research experience preferred. Extensive contacts at the various levels of management in the DOD and Civil communities preferred.
Must have proven ability to: lead complex teams in order to accomplish insightful due diligence of strategic opportunities (i.e., $100M+ in size).
IT knowledge, industry experience and knowledge of the DOD and Civil agencies required. Proven project management skills, including demonstrated ability to schedule, manage, and accomplish Capture Intelligence projects on-time, profitably and to high customer satisfaction levels.
Must be a hands-on manager with excellent analytical, written, and oral communication skills. The ability to communicate concisely and appropriately to the audience is required. Bachelor`s degree in liberal arts, engineering, management, or computer sciences, plus additional business or marketing qualifications.
Must have excellent computer and Internet skills including Microsoft Office and Internet research.
Advanced Microsoft Project, Excel and PowerPoint skills are preferred.
Must be skilled at building effective working relationships at every level within the organization. Strong analytical skills - both quantitative and qualitative - with the ability to recognize trends and perceive connections among information of different types and from disparate sources.
