Answer and direct incoming cardholder telephone inquiries. Record and direct cardholder requests to appropriate area for resolution.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Answer member's telephone inquiries and provide information concerning debit and credit card services related to their account(s). Direct member's call to the appropriate area when necessary.
Maintain a current in-depth knowledge of debit and credit card services and policies.
Receive and post, or accurately record and forward for processing, cardholder account transactions and research requests.
Process returned credit card statements and card mailers for appropriate disposition.
Respond to telephonic merchant name and address verifications; notify management of any discrepancies.
Perform assigned authority level responsibilities.
Perform other duties as assigned. Qualification Requirements:

Skills - Must have a pleasant telephone voice; demonstrate a mastery of English speaking and comprehension skills. Strong interpersonal and communication skills are required. Familiarity with on-line data operations and accepting of minimal mobility from workstation. Ability to perform multiple functions simultaneously. Basic typing and 10-key calculator skills required. Tenure - Card Service Operations Specialist II, Category 15, requires six months tenure in the Card Services Operations Specialist I position with performance that meets or exceeds expectations. Card Services Operations Specialist III, Category 14, requires six months tenure in the Card Services Operations Specialist II position with performance that meets or exceeds expectations. Directly related work experience and/or accelerated training may be substituted for tenure.
