The Cardiac Catheterization Laboratory Specialist Level II provides care and service to a specific group of adult and geriatric patients consistent with standards of practice. The Cardiac Catheterization Laboratory Specialist Level II demonstrates advanced cardiovascular knowledge and the skills necessary to manage situations and problems inherent to invasive cardiac studies and procedures performed within the Cardiac Catheterization Laboratory. As a member of the Cardiac Cath Lab Team, provides quality patient focused care and service within a dynamic, complex technical environment.
Current New York State RTR or RRT or RN licensure/registration.
Minimum of one-year current clinical experience in invasive cardiology to include cardiac catheterization lab experience and cardiac interventional experience.
RCIS certification or obtained within two years from completion of orientation -- OR -- Graduate of an accredited school of cardiovascular technology.
Minimum of one-year post-graduation clinical experience in invasive cardiology to include cardiac catheterization lab and cardiac interventional experience.
RCIS certification obtained within six months of date of graduation.
