Responsible for completing a focused functional health assessment, including physical, psychological, cultural, and social components, to diagnose patient problems, identify outcomes, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care. Provides patient- and family-centered care through The Compass: St. Cloud Hospital’s Nursing Professional Practice Model to achieve the hospital mission of improving the health and quality of life that reflects the healing mission of Jesus. Age appropriate care is provided to patients and families. Implements and abides by Customer Service Standards for a superior patient experience. Supports and implements patient safety and other safety practices as appropriate.


Graduate from an accredited school of nursing required . Baccalaureate or Masters in Nursing preferred.


One year of recent cardiology work (i.e., critical care nursing, heart catheterization, emergency room) required . Two years experience working in a cardiovascular disease program required . Good written and verbal communication skills. Sufficient knowledge to recognize abnormal laboratory data and other diagnostic testing results necessitating reporting to physicians.


Current licensure as a registered nurse in the State of Minnesota required .

Current American Heart Association (AHA) BLS Healthcare Provider card required prior to completion of unit orientation. Advanced Cardiac Life Support ( ACLS ) preferred.

A valid Minnesota driver’s license and a vehicle available for work, a driving record in good standing, and the minimum amount of insurance liability coverage may be required .
