The Carrier Relations Compliance Specialist qualifies and retains motor carriers for use by the Transportation division of YLA (YLAT) in providing service to our customers. The Compliance Specialist provides support to the entire network of YLAT through the use of operational policies and standard operating procedures of the Carrier Relations Compliance Department. This position is located in the YLA Transportation Headquarters in Jacksonville, FL.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Ø Complete vetting process of all carriers to qualify and retain quality carriers.
Ø Qualify and set up all miscellaneous vendors
Ø Execute qualification process with sense of “urgency” and accuracy.
Ø Manage exceptions.
Ø Promote, set up and maintain carrier pay programs.
Ø Promote and provide support to the YLA Carrier Interface.
Ø Compile, analyze and follow current standard operating procedures.
Ø Database entry and management.
Ø Proactively maintain existing qualified carrier database.
Ø Provide operational support to all YLAT branch offices and act as a liaison between the YLAT branches on Carrier Relations Compliance issues with various departments such as Carrier Advocate and Procurement, Finance, Accounting, Claims, Vendor Administration, Legal, Pricing, Information Systems and YLAT contracted carriers.
Ø Special and/or designated assignments or act as coordinator as designated by manager.
Ø “Do what’s right for the customer”, the branch operations personnel and YLAT contract carriers (internal and external).
Ø Provide customer service at the highest level.
Education and Experience: Associate's Degree plus one to three years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
