The Salvation Army, an internationally recognized, faith based, nonprofit organization, seeks a part-time Case Aide for the Mabee Center located in Fort Worth, Texas.

The Case Aide provides daily supervision, monitoring, reporting, and support of services to MHMR clients in a transitional housing setting; maintains appropriate records in addition to ongoing written and verbal communication with case managers, supervisors, and other essential program staff in relationship to daily client activities; facilitates and assists with living skills assignments for clients; accepts all incoming phone calls and transfers them to the appropriate personnel. Monitors daily activities and observes clients for safety, health and risk potentials. Communicates and assists case managers with coordination of client services which include living skills. Communicates all client/facility related incidents to case managers, supervisors and essential program staff; facilitates ongoing information exchange verbally and written. Monitors security and safety of facility and clients; ensures doors remained locked after hours and at the appropriate times. Assists clients with medical, dental, and mental health appointments as well as hospital emergency room treatment if needed. Provides necessary crisis intervention; ensures 24 hour monitoring of clients. Monitors client behavior, attitude and social interaction with peers and staff. Maintains confidentiality of client information. Monitors the self-administration of client medication ensuring dosage is taken as prescribed and in accordance with program policies and procedures; complete audits of medication log to verify medication compliance. Assists with maintaining information and files related to client services. Assists in performing social service work for special or seasonal projects. Monitors and regulates the use of appliances which include television, VCR, and radio/stereo; monitors the appropriateness of videos, television, and music being shown and played in the facility. Participates in required continuing education programs.

Required Experience:
One year of related work experience with MHMR clients, OR any equivalent combination of training and experience which provides the required knowledge, skills, and abilities.

Required Education:
High School Diploma of GED

Additional Comments:
TWO POSITIONS AVAILABLE: 7:00 pm - 7:00 am - Saturday and Sunday; 7:00 am -7:00 pm - Saturday and Sunday.

LICENSES AND CERTIFICATIONS: Valid Texas Driver’s License Required
