Under general supervision, the candidate recruited will review charts referred to Case Management and assumes administrative responsibilities for managing a caseload of disabled employees. Interviews uniformed staff to discuss diagnoses, prognoses, and courses of action. Requests medical documentation as needed. Prepares summaries for disability retirement and medical separation/termination. Reviews charts and prepares input for monthly light duty report. Assists in HMD clinic, as needed, in the triaging of patients and performs evaluations of fitness for duty. Reviews charts and prepares summaries for promotion candidates. Excellent written and communication skills required.
Minimum Qual Requirements
1. A valid New York State License as a Registered Nurse, plus a baccalaureate degree in nursing from an accredited college, and three years of clinical nursing experience; or
2. Education and/or experience equivalent to “1” above. However, all candidates must have a valid new York State license as a Registered Nurse.
