Job Duties and Responsibilities:

Coral Gables operates under a commission/manager form of government and is well known for its active and involved citizenry. The Cashier is responsible for the rapid and accurate completion of monetary transactions, receiving money from the public and general clerical work in the Department of Development Services. The ideal candidate must be extremely careful and accurate in calculating fees and providing change to the public. Must also possess strong customer service skills and be able to interact with a diverse customer base in a professional manner, be an effective communicator, and a team player. In addition, must have the ability to explain billings and charges to customers, balance cash on hand and negotiable instruments against receipts, maintain accurate transaction records and reconcile simple cash statements.


Candidates interested in applying must have a high school diploma or equivalent. Two (2) years related experience is required.

Bilingual (English/Spanish) Preferred.
