Casino Housekeepers/Stewards maintain the
cleanliness of the Casino structures’ interior and exterior
areas. Overall
beautification of the property is the key element of a
housekeepers/stewards job.
Communication via radio with other casino staff is necessary
as well as performing regular maintenance on housekeeping

Essential Functions

Wipe clean all slot machines and bases.

Wipe clean all restroom and keep fixtures
Dust window sills, pictures and fixtures and keep walls
Sweep and mop tile floors and clean tables keeping them
Discard all boxes and empty trash
Wipe clean glass entry doors keeping area free of dirt
and hand smudges.
Vacuum or sweep debris, trash and gum on
Polish woodwork and dust waterfall rock
Spray silk flowers with cleaner and keep dust


May be assigned special projects throughout the Casino
as needed.

Able to learn the basics of fundamental
cleaning equipment. (Buffer, extractor. etc…)



Knowledge, Skill and

Knowledge of cleaning supplies and tools

Education or Formal Training:
High school diploma or Equivalent Work Experience.

None. Will
train the right candidate.

Material and Equipment Directly

Used :
Mop/bucket, cleaning towels, correct cleaning
chemicals, broom, vacuum cleaner or back
Carpet Extractor, Buffer/Scrubber, and Steam Cleaner
when instruct by Manager/Supervisor.

Working Environment/Physical

Activities :
While performing housekeeping duties, the
employee is required to walk and reach with hands and arms 50% of the
time. The employee is
required to climb, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl 20% of the
time. The employee must
be able to lift or move 50 pounds 20% of the time. The employee must
lift and or reach above shoulder height 10% of the time. The working environment is
usually loud and stressful at times. The employee works near moving mechanical parts
such as vacuum cleaners and slot machines and is exposed to the risk
of electrical shock. The
employee must have visual range corrective to 20/20 for near and far
distances. The
employee’s auditory range must be excellent to hear radio
request calls. 75% of
the job is indoors and 25% is outdoors and you may be exposed to
extreme heat or cold.
You may frequently be exposed to gas, dirt, dust and solvents.
