Job Scope: Serve as a key member of the Claims Sr. Leadership team, providing thought leadership in the development of the overall Claims strategy. Manage Casualty and PIP processes for GAINSCO to ensure R3 objectives (Right Amount, Right Time, and Right Way) are achieved. Use analytical ability to develop critical perspectives on improvement opportunities. Through collaboration and influence, develop and implement new casualty and PIP processes and initiatives which address improvement opportunities. Provide direct oversight of Corporate HELP Team, Quality Assurance Teams and PIP Litigation Initiative.

Results Expected and Duties Performed
Performance Improvement internal operations by assessing improvement opportunities through data and file analysis. Provide detailed weekly/monthly assessment of management information to give feedback to the Claims operations on improvement or deterioration in the key areas of casualty and PIP performance.
Operational and Business Support: supporting the regional claims operations by service as subject matter expect on casualty and PIP technical issues. Assist in developing tools/training to drive key performance indicators. Serves as the point of contact with business partners throughout the enterprise to ensure consistent information flow on emerging Casualty/PIP trends and claims performance.
Develops and Implements Claims policies and Best Practices: Continuously assess claims processing standards and ensuring updates are made per company, local, state and federal laws.
Ensures the understanding of Claims procedures by providing guidance and directing training to Claims staff, as well as collaboratively develop Casualty/PIP performance standards.

Education: College Degree, required. Advanced degree or professional designation preferred.
Required Experience: A Minimum of 10-15 years auto insurance claims experience, with at least 8 years of management responsibility.
Skills and Abilities: MS Excel & PowerPoint proficiency; financial and statistical analysis.
Other: State Adjuster License (where required). Insurance Designations (AIC and/or CPCU) a plus.
Decision Making: Vendor relationships, performance management, recruitment decisions, process improvement and design, claim settlement
Interpersonal Communication: Internal, at all levels of the organization; claimants, vendors
