Job Location: This position is open for the MedAssets St. Louis, Mo., Cape Girardeau, Mo. or Plano, Tx offices.
The Catalog Analyst is responsible for interpreting and processing customer data in order to maintain the electronic catalogs. This includes updating the electronic catalogs accurately (mapping the data), and timely execution of data analysis and updates. This position also works toward maintaining customer expectations and increasing customer satisfaction with MedAssets catalog tools.
Provide customers with information that can support their decision-making processes by applying accurate and timely data analysis processes.
Rebuild old and/or new contracts to match and update customer account information.
Respond to internal and external customer needs with immediate turnaround.
Use appropriate processes and software applications for data entry, price file submission, error correction, error documentation, validation of data accuracy, and contract system builds, updates, or cancellations.
Enhance output quality by identifying and correcting data errors, including but not limited to duplications, unmatched characters, and incorrect item numbers.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
Interprets analytical information based on customer data and MedAssets master database to correctly register and synchronize supply item data.
2. Provides detailed analysis of all variables needed for reports and other deliverables.
Local Compliance Catalog (LCC) filter into the Product Data Utility (PDU), customer software
Assists SI processing for reporting
3. Researches supply items as necessary for accurate reporting and analysis.
4. Enters new contract updates accurately and efficiently.
5. Applies knowledge of customer contracts to keep them accurately maintained.
Ensures contract descriptions are labeled correctly.
Keeps account folders up-to-date and saved exactly as they are submitted (meeting minutes, accurate notes, tracking ongoing file maintenance)
6. Works with IT to address and troubleshoot any internal system/server errors.
7. Perform quarterly audits using CDQuick, the GPO catalog.
8. Uses the internet to effectively research vendor information.
9. Manages multiple projects with a high degree of complexity.
10. Adapts and demonstrates progress in learning procedures, processes, tools, and customer expectations.
11.. Completes special projects as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications & Competencies:
BA/BS in a healthcare, data-related field or equivalent business related experience.
Minimum 3-5 years experience in an analytical role (healthcare environment preferred.)
Knowledge of database structures and reporting.
Able to work efficiently using text files, PDFs, Visio, Access, and Visual Basics.
Demonstrated ability to work in a team environment that requires quick turnaround and quality output.
Solid knowledge of all MS Office Products.
