General Summary

As a member of a the Walmart Team, the Category Manager uses category, Guest and shopper insights data to create a clear direction for the category to align Walmart and Campbell's strategies and tactics. The Category Manager will work collaboratively with Shopper Insights, the Walmart Customer team, World Headquarter Category Management, Sales Planning and Strategy and Walmart to achieve Campbell's objectives.

Principal Accountabilities

  • Develops category strategy and assist Walmart buyers with integrated category strategy development.
  • Provides strategic and tactical recommendations on the Distribution, Shelving, Merchandising and Pricing (DSMP) goals to improve overall category performance.
  • Responsible for developing customer specific presentation of relevant consumer insights, competitive responses, and new item/category selling modules.
  • Provides input into customer planning cycle based on knowledge of category and shopper trends, competitive issues, etc.
  • Develops strong working relationships with Walmart's buyers and Walmart cross functional partners.
  • Manages Category specific customer calls - e.g. Category reviews, POG room work.
  • Job Complexity
    • Works with cross-functional groups including the customer, customer team, and World HQ resources.

    Job Specifications

    Minimum Education: Bachelor's Degree

    Years of relevant experience: 5+ years CPG industry experience, including 3+ years in analytics.

    This position works either in a customer team office . Approximately 10% travel may be required.
