Position Summary: Central Billing Center Representative is responsible for daily census changes as well as maintaining end of month census information. The facility/private pay billing process provides necessary guidelines for reviewing and preparing invoices to eliminate issues before invoices are generated, which helps the pharmacy collect payments effectively manage customer issues. All custimer contacts should be accurately recorded.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Solicit, receive and enter daily census changes as well as maintaining end of month census information. This includes obtaining discharge information.
All census information received from the facilities is applined and worked to completion the day that it is received-with the understanding of minimal time delay for weekends.
All(non Third-Party) unbilled charges reports (prelims) are printed and reviewed weekly. The reports are signed, dated and notated as to action taken, The reports are then forwarded to Central Billing Center Supervisor.
Preform billing, rebilling or re-pricing as necessary.
Perform necessary spilt billing process for patients with multiple payer types or when patiens are changing payer type.Complete Customer Billing Transfer Request form and forward to reject department for any rejects created during the rebilling or re-pricing process or if meds need re-billed >30 days.
Responds to verbal and written customer inquires within 24 hours of recipt.
Prepares and maintains facility face sheets.
Responsible for Facility Checklist setup and maintenance.
Review and input Med Authorizations within 24 hours of receipt.
Follow all applicable government regulations including HIPAA.
Minimum Qualifications (Required):
- High School Diploma-Medical Billing and Customer Service Experience prefered
