Job Summary: The Central Intake Coordinator is responsible for supporting multiple office locations by receiving and processing incoming home care and hospice referrals in an efficient and timely manner. Excellent telephone etiquette and customer service skills are required. Must be willing to work four, ten hour shifts between the hours of 8am-7pm as well as occasional weekends.Requirements: Excellent customer service skillsKnowledge of Medicare, Medicaid and private insurance coverage guidelinesKnowledge of medical terminologyAbility to work well in a team environment Previous experience in a home health, hospice, geriatric or general medical/surgical office environmentAbility to work professionally, positively and cooperatively with patients, families, medical staff, referral sources and other office and clinical staffProficient computer skillsAbility to communicate effectively in EnglishMedical Assistant background preferred
