-The Secret cleared CIS Administrator shall support the Clinical Staff in the planning, analysis, troubleshooting, integration, acquisition, installation, operation, maintenance, training, documentation, and administration of the Clinical Information Systems (CIS).
-The ClS applications include, but are not limited to: Essentris (ClinComp Inpatient CIS), Composite Health Care System (CHCS), AHLTA (SAIC Outpatient CIS); Digital Radiography/Picture Archive System (PACS); and the Pharmacy Information System (PIS).
-Specifically, they will provide support to the Cerner SmartSuite application and the rollout of additional modules.
-Ability to assist in the administration and management of Clinical Information Systems both for the processing of electronic health records and PHI data, as well as hands on technical systems support in areas such as Network and VPN management, DICOM, PKI, and server maintenance and management.
-Coordinate clinical database operations.
-Directorates and clinical staff members.
-Collaborate with medical staff members to develop, enhance, and update all clinical systems.
-Serve as point of contact between ITD, providers and application vendors.
-Perform routine system audits.
-Collaborate with the HIPAA Security Office to ensure that the clinical system complies with HIPAA standards.
-Coordinate training requirements for clinical system users.
-Train ITD Help Desk and Operations personnel to support Tier 1 support calls for the all CIS applications.
-Provide Tier 2 and above level of support to the help desk for CIS applications as required.
