Maintains an environment of safety for patients, self and others.
1.2 Provides direct patient care.
1.3 Assists physicians/providers with procedures, treatments, diagnostic tests, processing orders, and returning patient calls; provides instructions to patients as directed by the physician/provider with full consideration of patient safety needs.
1.4 Notifies patients of diagnostic test results via phone or in writing as directed by the physician/provider.
1.5 Administers medications to patients as ordered by the physician/provider.
1.6 Documents care provided on patient's medical record.
1.7 Reinforces patient education with full consideration of patient safety needs.
1.8 Performs disinfection and sterilization procedures.
1.9 Cleans, organizes, and maintains examination rooms, work area and other assigned areas.
1.10 Assists with maintenance of adequate levels of supplies.
1.11 Phlebotomy experience.
Description Minimum Required Preferred / Desired
Requires graduation from an accredited certified medical assisting program. Medical office clinical experience is preferred.
Language Skills: Ability to read, analyze and interpret clinical information and technical procedures. Ability to document clinical information. Ability to effectively communicate information and respond to questions from patients, physicians, family members, and other staff. Licensure
