This primary purpose of this job is to assist participants with the Activities of Daily Living (ADLs) and Instrumental Activities of Daily Living (IADLs) as indicated in the Plan of Care under the direction of the Field Supervisor. These tasks can include, but are not limited to personal care, routine housekeeping, meal preparation and medication reminders. Must be able and willing to travel anywhere in Chicago and nearby suburbs.
Sensitivity to cultural diversity is required. Will be subject to drug and alcohol screening, as well as aptitude and skills testing. To perform this job successfully an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. Must have a basic knowledge of home management skills.
Must possess Illinois Licenses Certified Nursing Assistant Certificate, High School diploma or equivalent. Must be a licensed Certified Nursing Assistant in accordance with the laws of Illinois and maintain the certification current.
Bilingual/Bicultural in English and Spanish. Must be able to read and write short correspondence and memos. Ability to communicate effectively. Ability to follow oral and written directions.
Computer Literacy & Knowledge Skills Abilities:
Must be able to learn to correctly clock in/out using the electronic timekeeping system.
