Vibra Hospital of Northwestern Indiana, located in Merrillville, IN, is a 40-bed long term acute hospital ( LTACH) offering a series of specialized programs and services for patients who require extensive acute care ( averaging 25-30 days) for their recovery. When you work for Vibra, you’ll get to know your patient and his/her family quite well.

Vibra Hospital of Northwestern Indiana is seeking a Certified Nursing Assistant to join our team. Provides assistance to licensed nursing personnel in the provision of patient care by providing and documenting activities of daily living, including personal hygiene and grooming and providing a clean, healthy and safe environment. Utilizes basic infection control procedures, basic nutrition and fluid intake. Recognizes emergency situations and responds.

Qualifications:
Current Certified Nursing Assistant Certification in the state of Indiana.
One to two years previous healthcare experience is required.
Current CPR and immunizations ( MMR, DPT, Varicella, Hep B and TB screening) are required.

Demonstrates knowledge of statutes and regulations and functions within the legal boundaries of certified nursing assistant practice. §

Ability to multi-task and remain calm in stressful situations. §
Strong organizational, prioritizing and interpersonal skills. §
Ability to make independent decisions when circumstances warrant. §
Proficiency of personal computer and software applications used in job functions ( Word processing, graphics, databases, spreadsheets, etc.) §
Persons who have been found guilty by a court of law of abusing, neglecting, or mistreating individuals in a health care related setting are ineligible for employment in this position. §
Freedom from illegal use of drugs. §
Freedom from use of and effects of use of drugs and alcohol in the workplace.
