Home Health Aide/Certified Nursing Assistant
The CNA/HHA will perform the following duties based on the Home Health Aide Assignment sheet completed by the Registered Nurse. Responsibilities include giving patients important social and emotional support. Providing vital information on patient conditions to nurses. Provide basic care services such as bathing, grooming and feeding, assisting nurses with medical equipment, and checking patient vital signs. Must be CPR certified and have 1 year of acute care experience.
Able to work with clients of diverse social, economic and functional levels.
Knowledge of home safety.
Must complete Personal Care training.
Knowledge of home management skills.
The Personal Care Provider supervisor
Assisting with ambulation and or exercise, positioning
Bathing, mouth/nail care, shaving, skin and hair care
Bladder and bowel care
Communicating with the client
Dish washing, kitchen cleaning, mopping, dusting, sweeping/vacuuming
Taking out the trash
Meal preparation and feeding
Laundry, linen changing
Notify monitor/supervisor of any schedule changes
Attend trainings as scheduled.
Other duties as assigned (Individual needs may vary).
