Department: South Campus Level 3 O/P Special Care
Hours per week: 40, eligible for benefits
Shift: Mon-Fri 8-4:30

As a Certified Ophthalmic Medical Tech you will assist a professional staff (Physicians, Fellows) in administering the healthcare and support needs of patients and families in an outpatient ophthalmic clinic setting and perform patient care activities as outlined in the Unlicensed Assistive Personnel and Ophthalmology Competency Guidelines.

Qualifications
• 2-4 years clinical experience required. Pediatric or subspecialty experience preferred.
• High School Diploma or Equivalent
• (JCAHPO) Joint Commission of Allied Health Personnel in Ophthalmology
• BLS for Healthcare Providers / CPR
• Basic computer skills
• Excellent customer service and communication skills with hospital/clinic staff, children, parents and visitors
• Knowledge of medical terminology
• Demonstrated ability to prioritize and organize tasks in a fast paced setting
