Qualifications: PhD in Political Science, Public Administration or related field required. Applicants must have academic qualifications consistent with appointment in the Department of Political Science at the rank of tenured Professor or tenured Associate Professor. Applicants must demonstrate an ongoing record of scholarship; exceptional writing and interpersonal skills; ability to work cordially and productively with faculty, staff, and students of diverse backgrounds; and capacity for successful administrative work in areas such as personnel, curriculum, and recruitment. For appointment at the rank of Associate Professor, 4 or more years-in-rank as Associate Professor is preferred.
Duties: The Chair is the Department's chief fiscal and academic officer and oversees all curricular, budgetary, programming, and personnel matters in the Department of Political Science.
