University Hospitals Cleveland and Case Western Reserve University are currently inviting candidates for the position of Chairman of the Department of Surgery.

The Department of Surgery was founded in 1834 and enjoys a rich and illustrious history including several notable Chairs. The Chair of the Department of Surgery oversees faculty in 10 Divisions including Cardiac Surgery, Colorectal Surgery, General and Gastrointestinal Surgery, Hepatobiliary and Transplant Surgery, Pediatric Surgery, Surgical Oncology, Thoracic and Esophageal Surgery, and Vascular Surgery and Endovascular Therapy both at University Hospitals Case Medical Center and within a 14 hospital system throughout northeast Ohio. The Department has a strong tradition of surgical education, and longstanding educational collaborations with Metrohealth Medical Center and the Louis B. Stokes VA Medical Center.

The successful candidate will be an accomplished surgeon with National and International recognition and a vision and drive to navigate the complexities and changes of our modern healthcare environment.
