Change and Configuration Management Specialists work on Government homeland security information technology programs to implement technology changes according to DHS guidelines and industry standards. Responsibilities may include:
Develop documentation in support of the software development lifecycle in accordance with DHS guidelines
Facilitate the approval of changes to systems
Monitor and manage the configuration of complex, inter-related systems in support of the homeland security mission
Coordinate configuration changes for multiple concurrent projects, including new systems, major releases, and operations/maintenance
At least 5 years experience in Information Technology (IT)
Experience in application and/or infrastructure change and configuration management using industry standard tools and processes
Demonstrated ability to manage multiple concurrent efforts and a complex stakeholder community
Strong interest in the homeland security mission
Bachelor's degree required
US Citizenship and ability to get a security clearance required
Excellent oral and written communications skills
Additional Preferred Skills:
Experience in large government information technology programs
Knowledge of SELC and CCRM processes and must be able to manage multiple releases through the process
Homeland security / DHS change and configuration management experience
Active security clearance
