The Channel Partner Manager is an integral member of Amazon Web Services channel sales team with a focus on distribution. The channel partner manager is responsible for driving revenue through one or more distributors. The channel partner manager will work closely with distributors’ sales and marketing teams to develop and execute go-to-market activities. This role requires the candidate to easily converse in sales and technical conversations, create and execute demand generation and enablement initiatives, and have a solid technical skills foundation.

Roles & Responsibilities
· Work with distributors to define and execute joint sales and GTM programs
· Create and execute enablement plans for distributors and their customers and end users
· Engage with the distributors’ customers and end users to create and drive revenue opportunities for AWS
· Set and manage revenue targets and work with the distributor to achieve/exceed goals
· Serve as a key member of the AWS channel team in helping to define and deliver the overall go-to-market strategy
· Participate in local, regional, and global channel seminars
· Present AWS technical and sales presentations to distributors’ customers and end users
· Support distributors’ responses for RFI/RFP
· Support distribution operations while working with key internal stakeholders (e.g. service teams, legal, support, billing, etc.)
· Understand the technical requirements of our distributors and work closely with the internal development team to guide the direction of our product offerings
· Understand and exploit the use of salesforce.com and other internal Amazon systems

Basic Qualifications

· 5+ years enterprise technology experience in partner management, sales engineering, or consulting
· Experience working within the enterprise software development industry is highly desired
· Strong verbal and written communications skills are a must, as well as the ability to work effectively across internal and external organizations
· Strong presentation skills and the ability to articulate complex concepts to cross functional audiences.
· Strong technical acumen, with a demonstrated track record of driving emerging/disruptive technologies like open source software, virtualization and Software as a Service delivery models
· Consistently exceeds quota and key performance metrics

Preferred Qualifications

· Experience working with global technology distributors such as Avnet, Ingram Micro, Tech Data, Arrow, etc
· Technical degree; Computer Science background highly desired; working knowledge of software development practices and technologies highly desired
