Working chef with a passion for food and presentation. Associates's degree in Culinary Arts from a recognized culinary school. Classical training. Oversees kitchen operations while maintaining a safe and sanitary work environment for the staff. Prepares or directs preparation of meals for patient room service, cafe'/retail services, and catered events. Oversees purchasing, inventory, storage, production and costing of foods. Partners with Registered Dietitians to provide healthy food choices and conducts cooking/nutrition classes. Complies with federal, state, and local sanitation regulations including Joint Commission. Sets quality food standards, following ACF guidelines or best practices. Trains, supervises, evaluates and holds staff accountable. Effectively communicates, maintaining a positive attitude. Functions as part of the food and nutrition services leadership team. Willing to support our customer service standards, conduct self as a catalytic leader, embrace Studer inutilities and follow Destination - 10 processes including daily huddles, food tastings, and chef rounding. ServSafe certified.
