PURPOSE : This position will be responsible for assessments, diagnosis, treatment planning, provision of support counseling (individual, family, and group), case management, and coordination of multiple service providers for his/her assigned client caseload for the PCR program. Additional responsibilities include keeping accurate and timely records as well as collecting and monitoring urinalysis samples for drug screening.
PCR (Project for Community) provides outpatient and intensive outpatient services. This program serves African Americans with substance abuse issues.
- Current CADC 1 (Certified Alcohol and Drug Counselor) or higher or have a Master’s Degree in a mental health related field and is registered with ACCBO (Addiction Counselor Certification Board of Oregon – www.accbo.com ) with ability to get a CADC within 6 months.
- Must have experience working in a culturally diverse environment specifically within the African American Community.
- Must be proficient in or ability to learn required computer applications.
- Must be familiar with Evidence Based Practice programming.
