Projects involved with:
Lead and support projects to improve the plating department’s Product Quality Architecture. These projects could include improvements in yield, process set up verification, new process/product changes, and plating chemistry optimization. These would be done using a Six Sigma or similar management philosophy. Work directly with Design Engineering to develop plating processes procedures for new product introduction. Utilize designed experiments to develop fundamental understanding of all plating processes and characterization of new product lines.
Travel Requirements (please note if international): Negligible (10% or less); International travel potential for interactions with other divisional facilities
Hours of work/work schedule/flex-time: Generally Mon through Fri, 8am to 5pm. Will be expected to attend off shift meetings or events.
Required Education: Bachelor of Science in Chemical Engineering
Required Years and Area of Experience: Minimum of 2 years of experience in engineering, or manufacturing
Solid analytical and problem solving skills including the ability to develop and use database queries Excellent organizational skills Methodical, data-based decision-making skills with the ability to use this data in proactively finding solutions Firm understanding statistical data analysis Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) Strong verbal and written communication skills Must be a US citizen or lawful permanent resident due to ITAR/Export Control restrictions
Process knowledge of electro-less and electrolytic plating Project management experience would also be a plus Six Sigma training. A Green or Black Belt certification would be preferred Statistical Process Control Electrochemical engineering experience is a plus
Good written and verbal communications skills Ability to influence other groups in the organization to reach a common goal
