The Sabine
River Works site in Orange, TX has a need for a Chemical Engineer. The person
in this position will provide daily Chemical Engineering support to our Ethylene
Unit at the Sabine site, which produces Ethylene and other co-products which
are used in a wide variety of low density co-polymers. Ethylene is a strong
contributor to the more than $2 Billion Packaging and Industrial Polymers (P&IP)
portfolio that includes a broad range of specialty, high-value polymers for
films, molding, lamination, and compounding. These products are used in
applications such as food packaging, construction, wire & cable, and golf
balls. We have more than 2,000 customers in 70 countries. Our business is
dedicated to growth through product innovation, customer partnership, and active
pursuit of global joint ventures that are strongly supported by the
corporation. The Sabine plant site is a flagship in our company, with high
standards and profitability.

Responsibilities include:
Provide chemical engineering leadership
and assistance to Operations through troubleshooting and developing
recommendations for Improved Operations.

Initiate or review Changes
of Design (COD) or Test Authorizations (TA) in order to improve the
safety, quality, yield, environmental impact, or cost of the production

Act as Process lead on key
growth programs and Large Capital Projects ( >$500M) identified by the
Asset Facility Plan.

Develop basic data,
participate on PHA, and provide design oversight for Capital projects.

Support Process Safety
Management (PSM), Safety, Health, Environmental (SHE), as well as DuPont
Production System (DPS) efforts.


Skills and Experience:
BS degree in Chemical
Engineering required.

5 – 10 years industrial
plant experience is a plus.

Fundamental understanding
of Process Safety Management (PSM) systems and High Hazard Processes is a
