Minimum Requirements:
BS in Chemical Engineering with 4 years relevant experience.

Fundamentals in Engineering (FE) registration or the ability to obtain one within 6 months of hire.

Must have OSHA 1910 40-hr training and up to date 8-hr. refreshers.

Ability to think critically and analytically.

Ability to work within a project team structure, manage interpersonal relationships, including cultivating and maintaining effective networks to achieve business results.

Ability to take initiative and be a self-starter, including keeping up-to-date on industry and environmental changes and developments.

Analyze and evaluate complex regulatory proposals and develop written comments on behalf of the client.

Working knowledge of environmental management systems and functions to protect and advance essential corporate monitoring, control and informational interests.

Ability to negotiate, present ideas, information and recommendations to effectively educate and persuade others.

Strong written and persuasive verbal communication skills.

Job Description:
This position will assist with the coordination and implementation of environmental compliance programs and processes for clients in the chemical and pharmaceutical industries. The focus areas will be air pollution control, wastewater treatment and permitting, and environmental management, including sustainability analysis. The successful candidate will perform a broad spectrum of environmental tasks including the following:
Administer environmental databases/information systems. Develop forms for data collection and management and prepare regulatory filings, reports, and submittals. Utilize commercial and client-specific programs to manage data and information in accordance with client and regulatory requirements. Develop work plans for data collection to meet environmental compliance goals. Provide periodic status reporting in support of client environmental goals and targets. Undertake activities to verify and improve environmental compliance. Identify potential environmental compliance risks and manage opportunities for continuous improvement. Assist with Life Cycle Assessments by compiling data, performing calculations, and analyzing results under senior level direction. Work with members of other project teams and external parties on ongoing matters and support clients in negotiations with regulators, as needed. The responsibilities of this position include, but are not limited to those stated above.
