Senior executive of the FBL Financial Group, Inc., and a member of FBL Management Team (M-Team) with individual accountability for all Corporate and Life actuarial functions of the business, enterprise risk management, and shared accountability as part of M-Team for leadership of FBL and the overall success of the FBL Financial Group, Inc.
College degree or equivalent plus fifteen years relevant experience required. Advanced degree with actuarial experience within the insurance industry preferred.
Fellow of the Society of Actuaries (FSA) designation required and membership in the American Academy of Actuaries (AAA).
Knowledge of pertinent laws, regulations, the Actuarial Standards of Practice promulgated by the Actuarial Standards Board, and the Code of Professional Conduct of the AAA and the SOA required.
Executive leadership, strategic thinking, personal integrity, and board level experience preferred.
In-depth experience with actuarial projections, predictive modeling, and valuation software strongly preferred.
In-depth technical skills and knowledge of products, strategies, financial drivers, and risks to effectively lead actuarial team.
