Technical Skill Requirement:
Willingness to respond to emergency situation on short notice. Ability to transfer technical expertise to property personnel. Perform, administer, document preventative maintenance programs. Must possess excellent time management skills. Basic computer knowledge Maintain and manage a work order system for the hotel as well as complete work orders on a timely basis. Train all engineering personnel to perform all maintenance and preventative maintenance functions within the hotel. Guest room repair issues (caulking, tile repair, painting, plumbing, electrical etc.) Carpet repair/tile floor repair Pool repairs as well as becoming a Certified Pool Operator (CPO). Perform capital review, keep status current. Maintain onsite inventory for maintenance shop. Please include salary requirements.
A Connecticut based hotel management company is seeking a qualified hands on Chief Engineer for our DoubleTree by Hilton property located in Windsor Locks CT. This candidate must have special skills and experience in a construction trade such as plumbing, electrical, carpentry and HVAC. They must also have the skills and ability to handle building mechanical systems and controls, electrical systems, energy management, and management skills.
  • Practice safety standards at all times. Know all hotel emergency procedures.
  • Professionalism and courtesy are to be extended at all times to guests, associates and vendors.
  • Guests should be professionally greeted within 5 ft. of your area when in public areas of the hotel.
  • Associates are to work as a team helping all teammates to complete the required activities which will ensure guest satisfaction.
  • Thoroughly understand the hotel service culture.

  • Adhere to all work rules, procedures and policies established by the company, including, but not limited to, those contained in the employee handbook.
