DRG, the national executive search firm, has been retained by Gulf Coast Jewish Family and Community Services, Inc. (GC), to recruit a new CEO to lead the agency. This is an exciting opportunity to head one of the premier human service agencies in Florida. Opening its doors in 1960 and formally incorporated in 1974, GC has been providing community and facility based services to Florida's vulnerable populace for over 50 years. Today, the agency provides an array of essential human services to over 30,000 individuals a year of all ages, faiths, cultures and lifestyles in 32 Florida counties. GC's comprehensive programmatic offerings include, but are not limited to: Mental Health–Substance Abuse Services, Jewish Family Services, Elder and Disabled Services, Refugee Services, Children and Family Services and Employment Services.
GC maintains offices in Pinellas, Pasco, Hillsborough, Polk Osceola, Broward, Miami-Dade, Sarasota, Alachua, and Volusia Counties, and employs over 500 staff members. GC seeks an experienced senior executive to build upon its resources and accomplishments and lead the agency as it considers new ways of meeting the needs of its clients. Ensuring continued operational excellence and adherence to high standard program and service delivery, the new CEO will work closely with the professional staff on all areas of strategy and program development and with the Board on issues of governance, finance, fund development and strategic vision. She/he will work to increase the overall visibility of the agency, its programs and resources, representing the agency and growing its presence both within the Jewish community and the community-at-large.
Successful candidates will have experience in a senior management position at an agency/organization of comparable budget size and expertise in healthcare and/or human services programs and delivery. The Board seeks a candidate with a proven track record of sound financial management, growth and the experience and ability to manage diverse operations. A demonstrated record of success in advocating for social service policy and funding on a local and national level, as well as securing and expanding agency funding, and the ability to lead with sound judgment, confidence, integrity, and diplomacy - all while maintaining a sense of humor will be key to succeeding within this role.
