Examples of Duties:
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to :
Planning, implementation, provision and evaluation of all academic and administrative technology and information services for the college;
Directing all strategic and operational planning and research for technology and information activities at M State;
D evelop and make continuous quality improvement to the college technology strategy;
Supervise the planning, implementation, daily operations, and continuous improvement, of organization-wide technology systems, services, networks, and facilities including:

Regional alliance for on-line delivery
Computing/information systems
Television systems, including interactive, local access cable, other production/broadcast television
Polycom systems
Radio communication systems
Voice, fax and telephone-related items
Other technology systems as assigned

Administrative duties – manage and supervise assigned operations to achieve goals within available resources, adjusting assigned operations as technologies are adopted and decommissioned;
Human resources management;
Supervise technology projects;
Provide professional leadership and counsel to the college Cabinet, senior staff and their delegates;
Enforce and implement equal opportunity and affirmative action policies, procedures, and programs as appropriate to academic leadership.

Typical Qualifications:
Minimum Qualifications :
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field;
Minimum of five (5) years of progressively responsible leadership and supervisory experience managing a complex information technology service environment;
Ability to conceptualize large complex multi-technology systems as well as provide detailed systems flows for component sub-systems;
Considerable knowledge of: --technological solutions for various goals, -- principles/practices of planning and project management, -- employee supervision, --budget management and planning.

Exceptional human relations, critical thinking and problem solving skills;
Effective oral and written communications skills;
Highly refined organizational skills;
Travel between campuses will be required, along with periodic overnight travel. Preferred Qualifications :
Master’s degree in Computer Science or related field;
Work experience in higher education;
Experience with shared governance and collective bargaining.
