Hanover Research is actively recruiting for an experienced marketing and public relations professional to serve as Chief Marketing Officer for our rapidly growing company. This individual will report directly to the Founder and CEO, and is expected to be a key member of the executive leadership team equipped to provide creative, energetic, and authoritative guidance regarding all of Hanover Research's marketing and branding initiatives. Using his/her marketing expertise, this strategic leader is responsible for developing and executing consistent and compelling messages that accurately portray the work and mission of Hanover Research as a whole.

Location: Washington, DC

Primary responsibilities will include the following:
Oversee the production of all marketing materials, performing necessary edits and granting final approval before publications are distributed;
Work closely with the company's core management team to ensure branding efforts are aligned with the mid- to long-term strategic goals of each department;
Ensure the company delivers a brand-consistent message to all clients, partners, and prospects;
Manage the marketing department, providing leadership to build a collaborative and high-performing team motivated to achieve yearly and quarterly marketing objectives;
Develop an integrated branding approach that reaches across all company channels and marketing materials, managing print and electronic promotions in addition to all website and social media content;
Propose, rationalize, and effectively manage budgets for marketing initiatives;
Maintain a thorough working knowledge of print collateral and design, website development and maintenance, social media, emerging communications technologies, conferences and other speaking opportunities, and media relations;
Serve as the company's communications counselor, executing effective internal and external communication practices, policies, and processes;
Direct the marketing team on the creation and maintenance of all marketing and PR initiatives;
Execute marketing projects and travel as needed.

Passion for helping Hanover Research expand its brand recognition and online presence;
Proven track record managing a team effectively, exhibiting mentoring and leadership skills;
Ability to work quickly and independently with minimal guidance or oversight.

Minimum Education Required:
A Bachelors' degree in Marketing, Public Relations, Communications or related fields;
MBA or other advanced degree/qualification in Marketing or Public Relations would be highly advantageous.

Minimum Experience:
7-12 years of full-time work experience in a progressive marketing role, preferably most recently in a similar executive or managerial capacity at a professional services company.
