The Chief Marketing Officer is responsible for developing and implementing a cohesive sales and marketing strategy, explaining and expanding on our established company character and brand voice, and creating lasting and profitable relationships between Mike's Bikes and our customers. The CMO is the steward of the Mike's Bikes brand.
Oversee management, direction and implementation of all marketing, merchandising and branding needs to deliver on the Company's overarching brand vision. Coordinate and implement tactical plans to execute.
Plan, organize, staff, train and manage all Marketing, Merchandising and Sales Support functions.
Communicate effectively and influentially to our employees, customers, media and industry to further establish the Mike's Bikes brand. Achieve consistency of message and voice across all media.
Drive increased sales using a variety of resources and media, including customer data tools, social media platforms, web properties, offline media, field marketing, community engagement staff, in-store merchandising, in-house design, and in-house sales support staff.
Research and analyze industry trends, buying habits, and consumer demographics and preferences.
Work closely with all areas of the Company, including Team Mike's Bikes Racing and The Mike's Bikes Foundation, to create consumer demand and drive revenue at retail.
Collaborate with store management to meet marketing needs on a localized level.
Work closely with Purchasing and Finance to create pricing and promotion strategies.
Monitor and track all marketing activities to stay on budget, enforce accountability and responsiveness, and maximize ROI of every marketing spend.
BS/BA, Master's preferred.
10+ years of broad marketing experience in a consumer product field, outdoor recreation or sporting goods preferred.
Hands-on collaborative style, with a willingness to roll up sleeves.
Impeccable writing skills with the ability to speak directly to a variety of audiences.
A blend of technical understanding, imagination and creative spark, and ability to convey passion for our product of cycling.
Driven, self-motivated, never satisfied, always looking for ways to improve.
Ability to deliver projects on time and on budget, in cooperation with other areas of the company.
